i had to add some funk to my start menu. it was really boring before. that's my network panel. the giant icon shows wireless networks on click. i'll likely be adding some funk to that too i have the functionality about where i want it so i can start looking at some style. the shadow on the taskbar is a toggle-able label that stays behind everything. what else...

oh yeah, i found a reason to start using overlay labels instead of stacking labels.. several actually. i first noticed these in gaia 09 and thought, that's neat, but why? oh why.. first: less code. faster theme. second: less code! the overlays obviously show/hide with their parent label.. so the "showmenu" script is just !labelshow startmenu

lastly, most importantly.. you can click an overlay and execute a function and the parent label still has focus lsboxhook is unusable because it plays hell with your alphamap.

oh xlabel... you can have my babies.
