grrr, always save as png so that you don't loose quality and have those artifacts. :(

well this is optimized for size... if optimized for quality its basically perfect and still smaller in size than png. with an image this size i feel like most people just want a quick look, then moving on =)

There is when you are uploading images to the web that need to be a small size.
'There is never a reason to use jpegs?' Hah, obviously you're not a photographer. Ever heard of EXIF data? ;)

Small is even more of a reason to use pngs, like I said, never a reason to use jpegs. Is this the photography section???

jpeg's = much higher compression (albeit with artifacts). Generally speaking, there's only so far a png can be compressed, unlike jpegs. You say there is 'NEVER a reason to use jpegs'. Your broad use of 'never' seems to encompass everything, including the photography section. ;)

There is always some use for everything. ;)

wow. I don't mean this in a condescending manner, but do you know what we are talking about? I almost think you are not sure that there are many types of jpegs, many types of pngs, etc. I surely hope you know we are in the screenshots section.

Yes, I think I know more about what I'm talking about than you. >.<
Hint: Google is your friend. ;)
