the dll's in the download are x86. if you use x64 just use the images with nav button customizer
Updated 12/26: This has the light version toolbar fix for chrome/firefox, it also contains many minor updates but i can't remember them all. the file also includes a darkened transparent taskbar version that is VERY incomplete. with the holidays, finals, and some commissioned web design i've been far too busy to make a proper final version of this package but this should address most of the issues that have been brought to my attention. no monochrome versions yet. sorry. happy holidays custo fans!
Updated 11/18: added substyle dark explorer bar (works with Chrome and Firefox ) + lots of minor fixes. thanks to everyone reporting bugs and helping make this theme badass
Updated 11/12: i remade the taskbar buttons to accommodate pinned apps and changed/skinned some things. keep the screenshots comming
Color scheme based on Google+ Design is inspired by the results of sorting the Windows XP category by Most Popular of all time.
+1 for Windows 7 This theme is a heavily modified Aero. You must get confirmation from me prior to releasing any themes built from or based on my design. Go crazy
TbarIconBlanker (this isn't necessary, but if you want that super clean look use it)
PS: There are some elements that i intentionally ignored because i never actually see them in daily use, however there are probably a few little bugs, and some completely ignored sections that will need attention. Please bring to my attention any major issues via screenshot and i'll get it fixed.
Big Thanks...Been using this and a similar theme consistently for months... One of the few styles that: 1. Uses color, bold but sparingly to highlight important items...perfect! 2. Fonts aren't super small. Bless you 3. Minimal to zero transparency. Don't mind some, but lately the trend is so transparent that I can't make out what's in the current window or box, and what's underneath. 4. Big, thick taskbar. I use a great deal for app switching, staying org while working so big, easy to see and visually determine what's what is critical. You nailed it!
I had created my own in XP, which I worked with until this past year, and haven't had time nor wanted to fuss with W7, especially since the Windows Style Builder app for W7 isn't as dynamic as the XP version. I know full well how much work this is. So again, big thanks to you and the creators of the base work.
Hats off to your sir! Never have I come across a theme that is nearly flawless, IMO. I appreciate the hard work you have put into this theme - it really shows!
From my perspective, the theme is nearly perfect. Few things I would change (don't take offense): - The style of the progress bar (blue blocks) seems a little bit old-school for a modern theme like this one. - The white-to-orange gradient that serves as a background to a folders' category names (Such as "Name" | "Date Modified" | "Type" ) does not go with the theme in my opinion.
